As a kind of practical technology, surface barrel finishing has good effects, high efficiency, low costs, easy operation, and other ad- vantages. Finishing mechanism, type and characteristics are analyzed. Its development trend is introduced. It provides reference for the fur- ther development and industrial applications of surface barrel finishing.
