In the grand design blueprint of China＇s reform and opening up and modernization construction, Deng Xiaoping had many important thoughts, among which ＂seize the opportuni- ty＂ is one of his important strategic thoughts. Learning and exploring Deng Xiaoping＇s thoughts on the opportunity has an important practical significance for our firmly grasp the historical op- portunity during the turn of the century and the construction of socialism with Chinese charac- teristic.
