From September to November in 2011, to explore the preferred habitat features for golden monkeys in auntumn, a wild reasearch was undertaken in BaiHe Nature Reserve. In this paper, a series of habitat factors (including elevation gradient, distance to water, terrain, slope, gradient, type of forests, height of trees, average diameter of the trees, density of trees, density of canopy, interference) in the golden monkey's high-frequency activity areas of Xiapingdi in the Baihe Nature Reserve were investigated, and the relations of these factors with the locations of golden monkeys in Autumn were analysed. The results indicated that the deciduous broadleaf mixed forest and coniferous and broadleaf mixed Forest were optimal living vegetation community for Baihe golden Monkey in autumn. The preferable height of trees was more than 15 m; the suitable diameter breast height was 16 -30 cm, the canopy density was 25 % - 75 % , the optimal living altitude was 2300 - 2900 m, and the slope was 20 - 40 degress among the northwest, north, northeast and east of mountain. Principal component analysis of 11 ecological factors showed that the edible food available, environmental quality, geographic conditions, but not water, were the main limiting factors for habitat selection of Baihe golden Monkey in autumn in Baihe Nature Reserve in Sichuan.
