摘要
骨钙素(osteocalcin,OC)是由成骨细胞合成和分泌的非胶原骨基质蛋白,在骨骼的发育中发挥重要作用。近年的研究发现,羧化不全骨钙素(uncarboxylated osteocalcin,ucOC)可以促进小鼠胰岛β细胞增殖、胰岛素分泌、改善胰岛素抵抗,对糖尿病和肥胖的发生具有抑制作用。临床研究中也发现骨钙素含量与空腹血糖、胰岛素浓度、体脂含量呈负相关。这些研究确立了骨钙素调节糖代谢的重要作用,对其机制的了解将为治疗糖尿病提供新的靶点。
Osteocalcin(OC) is a non-collagenous bone matrix protein synthesized by osteoblasts.It plays an important role in skeleton development.The latest studies found that uncarboxylated osteocalcin(ucOC) can promote pancreas β-cell proliferation,increase insulin secretion,improve insulin sensitivity and protect from diabetes and obesity.Clinical examinations also found that OC and fasting blood glucose,insulin concentration and fat mass were negatively correlated.These findings established an important role of OC in regulating energy metabolism and understanding its mechanism will provide a novel target for the treatment of diabetes mellitus.
