Entering 21st century, in order to further strengthen China-Africa cooperation to address common challenges of economic globalization and promote mutual development, based on the suggestion by African countries and the initiative of China, ＂China-Africa Cooperation Forum- Ministerial Meeting Beijing 2000＂ was held on 10th to 12th October in 2000. Starting with the meeting, China-Africa Cooperation Forum gradually set up a regular mechanism, and becomes an important and effective platform for China and African countries to communicate and carry out pragmatic cooperation, creating a successful example of South-South cooperation.
