Design and Analysis of Ka-Band Second Harmonic Gyroklystron Amplifier

摘要 设计了一支Ka波段二次谐波回旋速调管放大器,并利用基于广义电报方程的时域自洽非线性理论模型,对设计的回旋速调管进行了数值模拟。详细分析了工作电流、横纵速度比和磁场等参数对放大器输出功率、增益和效率的影响,得到了最佳的工作参数。模拟结果表明,在电子注电压70 kV,电流15 A,磁场0.675 T附近,可以获得大于250 kW的输出功率,近26%的效率和440MHz的带宽。 A novel type of Ka-band second harmonic gyroklystron amplifier was designed. The amplifier was physi- caUy modeled and numerically simulated, based on the time-dependent nonlinear theory of the generalized telegraph equation. In the simulation, the impacts of various factors, such as the electron beam, pitch angle and magnetic field distribution, on the output power, gain and efficiency of the newly-designed Ka-band second harmonic gyroklystron amplifier were evaluated for the purpose of design optimization. The simulated results show that under the operating conditions: an electron beam of 15 A,injected at 70 kV,and a magnetic field of 0.65 T,the saturated output power were found to be over 250 kW,with an efficiency close to 26% and a bandwidth of 440 MHz.
