摘要
《申报》美容、化妆品广告表现的女性美的元素主要有:体态、容貌、皮肤、香气、红唇、指甲等,它们体现了当时人们追逐时尚的审美观念。《申报》的美容、化妆品广告诉诸"美","美"能带来如下三个方面的"利好"消息,一是促生爱情,二是便于交际,三是象征身份。时尚美在树立开放意识、追求精致生活方面具有现代价值和启蒙意义。同时,时尚美借助古典美,将外来的"现代性"驯化为一个社会内生的创新力量。所以,其最高价值在于,它所表现出来的旺盛的创生能力和不屈的革新精神。
