摘要
隐喻是以一事物去理解另一事物的认知工具,并普遍存在于语言现象中。隐喻应用于大学英语阅读教学不仅能培养学生的隐喻语言意识,还能提高学生的阅读理解能力。
As a cognitive device by which one understands an event through the other one, metaphor is quite prevalent in language phenomena. The application of metaphor to college English reading teaching will not only cultivate students＇ metaphor awareness, but also improve their reading comprehension ability.
