摘要
莫言获得诺贝尔文学奖可以纠正关于新文学不过是对西方文学的摹仿而中国传统文学才是中国人独创的偏见,正如西方以这种偏见对待19世纪的俄罗斯文学而最终发现这一世纪的俄罗斯文学无比辉煌一样。诺奖对当代的钟情必然会带来对现代的重估。当然,莫言的幸运及其文学天才是其获奖的内因。他将高密东北乡当成中国乃至人类苦难的缩影,创作技巧的繁多及文学语言的繁丽,使其区别于一般的乡土文学。莫言并不是正统儒道传统的文化承担者,而是在寻根中张扬了东夷文化的原始感性与高密民间文化的顽强生命力。
Mo Yan's winning of the Nobel Prize for Literature can be used to correct the bias that China's so-called new literature is but imitation of Western literature, and that traditional Chinese literature embodies the Chinese originality. It resembles the previous process in which the West was biased against the 19th century Russian hterature and ultimately dis- covered that such Russian literature was unmistakably brilliant. The fact that Nobel Prize favors contemporary content is bound to bring the revaluation of modernity. Of course, Mo Yan's good luck and his literary genius are the internal causes for his award-winning experience. He renders the Northeast Town in Gaomi into the microcosm of suffering China and even the entire humanity. He presents a wide range of creative skills, as well as intricate and glorious literary language, which differentiates him from local-colorism in the general sense. Mo Yan is not a cultural bearer of orthodox Confucianism and Taoism, yet he can highlight the original sensuality of Dongyi culture and the tenacity of folk culture in Gaomi.
