The view of embodied cognition provides a new perspective on emotion study. According to metaphor representation model, processing of emotional information include perceptual stimulation of tem- perature, in other words, abstract emotion is represented by concrete temperature. In present study, use priming paradigm to probe the relationship between emotion and temperature. We found that temperature clues do not facilitate recognizing of emotional faces(experiment 1 and 2). Thus temperature clues facilitate recognizing of emotional words (experiment 3). Results of 3 experiments accorded with the metaphorical structuring view, abstract conceptions were constructed by metaphors' conception. Though, there is no def- inite result and no consistent conclusion about the mechanism behind the metaphor, we have a definite conclusion is that study about the relationship of emotion and temperature has significant academic and ac- tual values.
