摘要
随着数字图像处理技术的不断发展,以图像处理技术为主的交通视频监测技术的研究已成为智能交通系统的重要前沿研究领域。简要介绍智能交通系统、数字图像处理技术的特点,着重分析研究数字图像处理技术在智能交通系统中信息采集、车牌识别、车辆检测与跟踪等多方面的应用。
With the development of digital image processing,research of traffic video monitoring base on digital image processing technology has became important fields of intelligent transportation system （ITS）. This paper briefly introduces characteristics of ITS and digital image processing technology,then analysis applications of the digital image processing technology about information collection, license plate recognition, vehicle detection and tracking in the ITS.
