摘要
美国当代小说家珍妮弗·伊根的小说《恶棍来访》是一部创新实验作品,小说的叙事结构突破常规,细节设置十分巧妙,一些批评家因此称之为"后后现代小说"。小说第10章"灵魂出窍"借鉴修辞叙事学的叙事模式,打破内在研究与外在研究的界限,并运用第二人称叙事模式对叙事交流的作用,揭示出其潜文本。这种叙事方式不仅带给读者不同以往的阅读体验,而且也使读者充分了解到美国吸毒青少年同性恋者的生存精神状态。
A Visit from the Goon Squad, written by contemporary American novelist Jennifer Egan, is an innovative and experimental novel. It has an unusual narrative structure and unique details, which led some critics label the novel ＂post-post modern＂. This paper takes Chapter 10 ＂Out of Body＂ as an exam- ple, drawing on rhetorical narratology to explore the effect of the second-person narration on narrative communications and it breaks down the barriers between internal and external research to reveal the chapter＇s subtext. The paper points out that the second-person narration not only brings the readers spe- cial reading experience but also makes them fully understand the state of drug-taking gay teens in U. S..
