This article introduces the special requirements for material of the modern high pressure gas pipeline and development of the pipeline steel both home and abroad. Through the introduction and analysis of the welding material development of gas transmitting pipe and NDT technology , comparison of the SSAW and LSAW pipe ,and analysis the problems of branch pipeline matched to trunk pipeline , it also proposes six suggestions.
