With modern laser diagnostic techniques it is now possible to image the detailed flame structure inside turbulent flames with high temporal and spatial resolution. This makes it possible to analyze the interaction between turbulent flow fields chemical reactions heat transfer and molecular transport of matter. Herewith concepts of models can be experimentally verified. Research on different burning regimes of turbulent premimed flames has already started. Figs 8 and refs 9
