近来的技术发展使视频按需服务成为可能．提出了一种基于有线电视网（ ＣＡＴＶ）和公共电话网（ＰＳＴＮ）的ＮＶＯＤ系统，并阐述了该系统的设计思想与关键技术．
Recent technological advances made video on-demand services feasible. This paper discusses the key technique for design and implementation of NVOD system based on CATV and PSTN system.
