摘要
皖西籍现代著名乡土作家台静农的代表作之一《蚯蚓们》,取材于20世纪初期家乡叶集的卖妻鄙俗,通过乱世荒年农民走投无路、妻离子散的生存悲剧的记述,揭露了宗法制社会的罪恶和社会政治的黑暗,同时也揭示了传统农民精神上的痼疾。其主题的深刻与表现的细腻,集中地体现了台静农乡土小说的创作特色。
Earthworms, which originates from the sinful practice of selling wives in his hometown Yeji in the early part of the 20th century, is one masterpiece of the famous modern local native writer Tai Jingnong from West Anhui. The story describes the survival tragedy of the peasants in famine years who are driven desperately and whose families are broken up, which exposes the darkness of patriarchal clan system and social politics. And in the meanwhile chronic ills of traditional peasants＇ spirits are also revealed. The profound themes and exquisite expressions intensively embody the writing features of Tai＇s local fiction.
