摘要
长期以来,在神话研究领域,大家秉承的乃是"图像证史"的观念与方法。然而,图像绝不仅仅是旁证,它本身就是神话的一部分,或者是神话时代最直接的史料。图像乃是可以和文献并行甚至高于文献的一个神话系统,在这个系统内,运用着不同于文字的视觉语汇和形象思维方式,有着自己的主题内容、表现手段、象征方法和叙事原则。因此,仅仅是"图像证史"还远远不够,必须建立起"图像即史"的观念,将图像视为神话最重要的载体。如果一直将图像作为文献的附庸,神话学研究将不可避免地陷入困境。
In the field of mythological studies,we received the conception for a long time that images were used to witness history.Actually,images were not just the collateral evidence,they themselves were parts of the myth,or the most direct historical materials in the age of mythology.Images are a myth system parallel to or outranked to literature,where different written records,visual vocabulary and imaginal thinking forms are running,with their own content and themes,expression means,and narrative principle,etc.Therefore,it is necessary to set up the idea of 'images-are-history',the most important carrier of mythology.
