摘要
鲁迅对于唐代的文化具有深切的认识和精到的见解,认为盛唐的文化观念可以作为当代的参照,例如,对于自己之文化抱有极强的把握,深具自信力;同时对别种文化亦有广阔的胸襟与极精严的抉择,这样才能圆融而以促自己文化的发展。这让鲁迅早有以杨玉环故事为中心的创作动机,但是1924年西安讲学时,对沿途中原大地的苍凉衰破之景有了更为切身的感受,中国社会现实的黑暗落后和政治的腐败无能,活生生的呈现在鲁迅的眼前,无疑在他的心底产生了强烈的震撼。作为千年古都的西安,带给鲁迅的不是兴奋和用历史小说来歌颂的光明前景,留给他的只是破败和荒凉的体验,让鲁迅心中原本描摹的美好意境大打折扣,千古兴亡的幻灭感使其最终放弃了这一创作的打算。而从李济、蒋廷黻等此行同仁对鲁迅形象的描述中,亦可体味出鲁迅多重性格中的朴实面相。
Lu Xun had a deep understanding of the culture of the Tang dynasty and took the cultural concept of the prosperous Tang dy- nasty as a contemporary reference. He had much confidence in Chinese culture while willing accepting the fine elements of others. He had planned to take Yang Yuhuan as a theme of his literary creation. However, in his lecture trip to Xi'an in 1924, he saw with his own eyes the dilapidated and ruined ancient capital of China and the dark side of the society and political corruption, which greatly re- duced his previous passion for a literary creation of that prosperous period and led to an disillusionment of the ancient capital of China. Lu Xun' s true personality and image found expression in the description by Li Ji, Jiang Tingfu and others on this trip.
