摘要
从认知角度出发,以当代美国英语语料库的统计数据为依据,运用Langacker的参照点-辖域理论和Ariel的可及性理论,研究了英语中以单数第三人称所有格(以his为例)为参照点所接触的目标实体的一些规律;比较了与之对应的汉语所有格参照点和目标实体的认知异同,并指出了这种认知异同是英汉文学作品翻译时的一个考虑因素。
From the cognitive perspective,this paper,based on statistics of the Corpus of Contemporary American English and taking ＂his＂ as an example,applies Langacker＇s reference point-domain theory and Ariel＇s accessibility theory to explore some regularities in English governing the access of reference points（third singular personal possessives）to target entity.The paper also analyzes the cognitive differences and similarities of reference points and target entity in English and Chinese.This factor should be taken into account in the translation of English and Chinese literary works.
