摘要
编目人员对517其它题名字段定义的片面理解导致517字段的不规范著录。517字段中的其它题名应该是未在其它字段定义的、出现在编目文献上的、有检索意义的题名,并且该题名描述的对象和题名责任项著录的题名对象相同,不满足这些条件的其它题名不应该著录在517字段。编目人员要防止517字段的滥用,也要注意517字段的活用。
Cataloguer＇s one- sided understanding of 517 field definition leads to its nonstandard de- scription. The paper discusses the definition of 517 field, and thinks that other titles that do not meet the definition should not descript in the 517 field. Cataloguer should not only prevent abusing the 517 field, but also pay attention to flexible application of the 517 field.
