摘要
以英国伦敦"概念店"在危机中求生存、谋发展的成功故事为引子,指出我国图书馆界要有忧患意识,珍惜和维护来之不易的大好局面。提出了影响图书馆未来发展的四个新指标:推广活动、社会媒体、数字流通和数字参考,强调今后发展要更加注重图书馆作为城市第三空间的价值,更加注重复合型图书馆的建设,更加注重信息交互和咨询能力的提升,更加注重与社会各界的广泛合作。
This is a keynote speech at the 2012 Library Conference of China. It starts with the intro- duction of the success story of Idea Store in London and indicates that the Chinese librarians should keep themselves in a sense of crisis and cherish as well as maintain the hard - won situation. The speech proposes four new metrics that will affect library＇s future development - programming, social media, electronic circulation and electronic reference. The speech also indicates that the future li- brary should put more emphasis on valuing itself as urban third place, fostering hybrid library, de- veloping information consultation, and collaborating with the stakeholders.
