Frazer Revisited ——A Brief Review on Arguments about Frazer in the Western Anthropological Circles

摘要弗雷泽在西方人类学史上的地位和影响颇为复杂,其人类学研究方法、研究内容、写作范式、作品价值、个人地位和影响等问题在西方人类学界曾引起广泛争议和讨论,而相关论争并不为国内学界所熟知。对20世纪60年代和80年代西方人类学界的两场关于弗雷泽的重要论争进行回顾和梳理,按图索骥,旨在以此表现"弗雷泽问题"的复杂性及其与人类学发展诸问题的关联性,有利于国内人类学研究的进一步深入展开。 Frazer＇s status and influence are quite complicated in the history of Western anthropology. His research content, methodology, writing style, value of works, as well as his personal status and influence have aroused broad discussions and arguments in the Western anthropological circles, which are not fully known to Chinese scholars. Aiming at presenting the complexity of Frazer＇s problem and its relevance to the problems in the development of anthropology, the author attempts to look back on and tease out the two important debates related to Frazer in the Western anthropological circles in 1960＇s and 1980＇s respectively in the hope of supplying helpful references for further studies on anthropology.
