摘要
林纾的改良主义思想是在爱国忠君思想的基础上发展而来的;他对光绪帝的感念折射了他对君主立宪主张的坚持而非对封建制度的死守;不管是对待新文化运动还是对待白话文运动,林纾都是持改良主义态度的,他反对"一刀切"的激进做法。因此某些学者给林纾贴"封建复古派"标签的做法是欠妥的,以"坚持改良主义的卫道者"来评价林纾更为合适。
Lin Shu＇s thought of Reformist was on the basis of his Patriotic and loyal thought. His grati- tude to Emperor Guangxu reflects his insisting on constitutional monarchy but not his sticking to the feu- dal system. Lin＇s attitude to the New Culture Movement and the Vernacular Movement also shows his standpoint of Reformist and his opposition to one size fits all. Therefore, it＇s improper to label Lin Shu the Stander of feudalism and Restorer of ancient ways. A Confucianist supporter who insists to support Re- formist would be a more suitable evaluation for him.
