摘要 Ossification is a highly complicated physiological process of in vivo osteogenesis and includes intramembranous ossification and endochondral ossification. During intramembranous ossification, the periosteum forms first around the trabeculae in response to differentiating mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), under which the primary center of ossification appears. Osteogenic cells originate from the periosteurn and then promote appositional growth and formation of the bone collar.
