摘要
《本草纲目》包含着丰富的药学辩证思想，如药性之寒、热，二者既对主又统一，在一定条件下却可相互转化；再如升与降，虽与药物的质地和气味有一定联系，但可以根据需要人为地加以控制和改革，“升降在物亦在人也”；补泻药性虽然相反，配合得宜，却能协同一致，通补兼长，各主其功。
Compendium of Materia Medica contains plenty dialectical thoughts about pharmacy. Cases in point are as follows: the cold and warm natures of drugs make up the unity of opposites and can convert into each other under certain conditions; the ascent and descent properties are connected with the quality and fla- vor of drugs on the one hand, and on the other, may be controlled and changed artificially if necessary,as is said 'the ascent and descent are dependent upon drugs as well as people.'; reinforcement and purgation, though contrary to each other, may well coordinate with each other in harmony and bring their respective action into full play.
