以太网流量的自相似性

Self-similarity of Network Traffic

摘要 以太网LAN流量在统计上是自相似的 ,通常使用的流量模型都不能俘获这一分形 (fractal)特性 ,这类特性对于基于信元的高速网络的设计、控制和分析都具有重要的意义。 The Ethernet LAN traffic is statistically self similar,none of the commonly used traffic models is able to capture this fractal behavior,and such behavior has important implications for the design,control,and analysis of high speed,cell based networks.
