一种应用于单芯片UHF阅读器的低成本直接上变频发射机(英文)

摘要 提出了一种利用标准0.18μm CMOS工艺实现的单芯片UHF阅读器的发射机。为了实现低成本和全集成的目标,采用了直接上变频结构,主要模块包括截止频率为125 kHz的脉冲整形滤波器,DSB-ASK调制的非平衡式的混频器和两级AB类放大器。就单芯片阅读器的发射机而言,它的整版面积(含PAD和ESD保护)少于2 mm2,具有全集成、低成本的特点。在1.8 V和3.3 V的供电电压下,输出功率达18.6 dBm,各项性能满足EPC GlobalClass1 Gen2协议要求。 A direct up-conversion transmitter for UHF single-chip reader is presented in the paper.In order to achieve low-cost and full integration,the transmitter adopts the direct up-conversion architecture in 0.18 μm 1P6M CMOS process. It mainly consists of pulse shaping filter(PSF) with cut-off frequency of 125 kHz,unbalanced structure modulator adopting DSB-ASK modulation and two-stage power amplifier(PA) operating in Class-AB.For the fully integrated CMOS transmitter,the total chip area including pads and electrostatic discharge(ESD) protection is less than 2 mm2,which results in low cost simultaneously.And the output power reaches to 18.6 dBm under the supply voltage of 1.8 V and 3.3 V.It satisfies the EPC global Class1 Gen2 protocol.
