摘要 近年加州学派对于前近代东西方经济史的比较研究引起了国内外学术界的广泛反响,关于"欧洲中心论"的讨论是其中引人关注的问题之一。由于对于"欧洲中心论"并没有一个广为接受的定义,相关研究和评论在这一问题上显示出纷繁混乱的局面。实际上,对于"欧洲中心论"存在着两种颇为对立的理解:一种强调的是历史发展的普遍性,另一种强调的则是历史发展的特殊性。理解加州学派谈及"欧洲中心论"时的实际含义,对于合理评价其历史诠释学有着重要的意义。 In recent years, scholars of California School have gained much regards for their comparative studies between Eastern and Western history of economy in pre -modern times and the "divergence" of the two economic systems. Discussion of "Europe - centered Approaches" is one of the most important and controversial thesis in their research. Yet, because the notion "Europe -centered Approach" itself doesn't have a precise and wildly - accepted definition, researches and criticisms on the thesis seem to be somewhat confusing. In fact, there are two opposite understanding of "Europe -centered Approach": one emphasizes the universality of history; the other emphasizes the particularity of history. When evaluating the historical explanation of California School, it' s important to understand firstly what they mean when they use the word "Europe -centered Approach".
