摘要
英语动词过去时表示时间方面、真实性方面或心理方面的距离。当英语动词过去时形式所表示的动作或状态发生在说话时间之前时,这是时间距离;当英语动词过去时形式所表示的动作或状态与说话时间同时发生或发生在说话时间之后时,这是真实性距离或心理距离。从这个意义上说,英语动词过去时态的实质就是"距离性"。
The English past tense denotes remoteness in time, reality or psychology. When tense in English to talk about events or situations that are finished before the time of utterance mean remoteness in time ; when we use this tense to talk about events or situations that occur we use this , we usually during or after the time of utterance, we usually mean remoteness from reality or psychological remoteness. In this sense, the essence of the English past tense is remoteness.
