摘要
新颖调是河北省保定市望都县独具地方特色的剧种,流传至今已近两个世纪,特有的音乐语汇与旋律进行方式展现了地方民间戏曲特殊的艺术魅力。20世纪80年代末,在继承新颖调传统唱腔的基础上,保定群艺馆与望都县文化馆大胆改革创新创编了《戏八戒》这出戏,演出20多年来常演不衰,使新颖调这一民间戏曲焕发了新的生命力。
