摘要
文化定势是存在于每个社会的普遍现象,从认知的角度讲文化定势是人们认识外界事物的一种固定模式。不同民族所特有的文化背景和认知方式决定了文化定势存在的必然性。通过探讨中西禁忌语的差别进而发掘两种文化内在的不同,可以加深对中西文化模式的了解,为更好地进行跨文化交际打下基础。
Cultural stereotype is a common phenomenon which exists in every society. It is a certain thinking model from the cognitive angel. Different nations have different cultural backgrounds, which causes the existence of cultural stereotype. This paper aims to lay the foundation for our cross-cultural communication by studying Chinese and English taboos comparatively and probing into the roots of their differences.
