In the underground powerhouse construction, the rock foundation excavation of bridge-machine beam is one of the difficulties in building construction. The successful practice in the underground powerhouse of three Gorges Project was introduced, including the blasting scheme, blast test and the main construction methods and the selection of blast parameters. With an elaborate design and strict construction, the blasting excavation of rock foundation meets the design requirements.
