摘要
知识化图象数据库系统近年来引起了人们的研究兴趣,表现出了广泛的应用前景。本文介绍一种知识化图象数据库管理系统GBASE的模式设计,它将传统的关系模式加以扩充,使之能容许框架知识表达的抽象数据类型(ADTs),增强了关系数据库系统的语义描述能力,有助于表达有关图象实体以及它们之间的空间关系等有关知识。利用ADT我们可以进行知识引导下的数据库查询、图象实体空间关系的推理以及基于应用模型的辅助设计和规划。GBASE系统是在VAX11/750机上在VMS操作系统下,以C语言完成的。它统一管理着多种类型的信息,即关系数据、图形、图象数据、知识以及过程等,是一个综合的图象数据库管理系统。目前正应用于林业资源的管理和规划。
This paper presents an intelligent image database system GBASE and its schema design. The database schema of GBASE extends the classical relational schema to abstract data type (ADTs) allowing frame-like structure. Therefore, semantic description power of relational database is enhanced, and the knowledge of image entities, spatial relationships, ecological model, and other relevant knowledge can be well represented. Using ADTs, GBASE can perform query processing guided by knowledge, spatial relationship reasoning, and decision-making and planning based on applicational models. GBASE system is developed on a VAX 11/750+model 75 computer under VMS operation system. GBASE system, written in language C, is a synthetical image database system, which manages different types of information such as relational data, graphics image data, domain knowledge, and procedures. GBASE system has been applied to the management and planning of forestry resources.
