摘要
在H.264视频编码标准中,为了达到失真性能与压缩效率之间的合理折衷,在模式选择过程中一般采用率失真优化的方法来得到最优模式,但复杂度较高。文中提出一种失真与速率的快速估计算法,在保持率失真性能基本不变的条件下,节省了约38%的模式选择时间,且运算过程全部为整型运算,易于在嵌入式平台上实现。
In H. 264 video coding standard, to achieve a reasonable compromise between the distortion performance and compression efficiency, generally using rate-distortion (R-D) optimization method to obtain the optimal mode, but result in high complexity. This paper proposes a fast rate-distortion estimation algorithm, which achieves about 38% reduced computation time of R-D optimized mode decision with ignorable easy to achieve on the coding performance degradation. And the integer calculation based algorithm is embedded platform such as DSP.
