摘要
爱若斯及其本性的问题贯穿柏拉图《会饮》的整个文本,历代研究主要集中在这部作品对爱若斯的赞颂。爱若斯和阿佛洛狄忒的关系是理解《会饮》的关键问题。在《会饮》中,柏拉图以爱若斯与阿佛洛狄忒代表爱的不同品质,确立了爱若斯作为神人共主的地位,并取代阿佛洛狄忒,成为爱尤其是精神之爱的代名词。
This paper aims to analyze an important and yet neglected aspect of Plato's Symposium, i.e. the figure of Aphrodite in relation to Eros. First, this paper stresses the importance of the figure of Aphrodite to understanding the whole dialogue. Second, it examines the Homeric and the Hesiodic sources of the Platonic description of Aphrodite. Third, it discusses the relation of the figure of Aphrodite in relation to Eros as presented in the Symposium. Lastly, it attempts to reflect on the bearing of the fact that Eros replaces Aphrodite as the ideal of Love.
