彼得·沃克是当代成功地探索风景园林艺术的先锋之一，极简主义园林的开创者，其作品以独特的视觉形象和场所感为人们提供了多种多样的心灵体验文章探讨了沃电极简主义园林产生的背景，特征，并提出沃克常用的7种艺术要素即叠合系统、同心圆、直线、锥形山、巨石、桧柏树和树篱，并对3个有代表性的实例做了详细的分析。
Peter Walker, Father of the minimalist garden, is one of the most successful pioneers in exploring modern Landscape architectural art.
