摘要
通过对部分高校图书馆投入使用的自建特色数据库的调查和了解,发现在使用过程中普遍存在以下问题:利用率偏低;维护、更新工作滞后;忽视安全管理工作;共建共享特色数据库资源有待落实。为此,提出以下建议:加强宣传和推广工作;长期维护,及时修正、更新,保持特色数据库的生命力;加强安全管理工作;充分挖掘和利用特色数据库;实现真正意义上的资源共享,以充分发挥特色数据库的效用和功能。
Through an investigation of characteristic databases which have been established and put into use in some universities, the author has located some common problems existing in the use of databases, such as lagging-behind of maintenance and renewal, negli- gence of security management, low frequency of operation and use, and inadequate co-construction and sharing of data resources. The author argues that more work has to be done in popularization, maintenance and renewal so as to maintain the vitality of characteristic databases, that security management is to be strengthened, and that more possibilities are to be evoked for a better use of characteristic databases so as to realize the sharing of resources in its real sense and to uptimize efficacy and function of characteristic databases.
