科学革命和技术革命推动人类由农业社会向工业社会再向后工业社会即知识经济时代前进 ;知识经济己显露端倪 ,它的到来是不以人们的意志为转移的 ;知识经济需要发展通常意义上的高新技术 ,但同时也对土木工程这门古老学科提出了诸多新的挑战 ;技术创新是土木工程在知识经济时代迎接挑战的唯一选择。
The revolution in science and technology has promoted the development of mankind from the agricultural mode to the modern industrial mode, and then to the post-industrial mode, i.e. the knowledge economy. The rise of the latest mode is not subject to people's will, and it demands high tech. At the same time, civil engineering, an old subject, is facing new challenges in multiple aspects, and its only choice is to introduce technical innovations.
