摘要
韩礼德的元功能理论为系统功能语法角度的文本分析提供了重要的理论框架。运用元功能理论探讨奥巴马2012年国情咨文讲话能进一步揭示政治演说文本语言现象背后的深层社会交际意义。通过从概念功能、人际功能及篇章功能这三个层面展开对该文本的分析,力图探索演讲者如何借助三个功能手段的语言技巧运用来号召民众响应其政策,传达其对巩固统治,维护国家安全的决心。系统功能语法角度的政治语篇分析能通过语言技巧的运用,揭露意识形态对话语的影响以及话语对意识形态的反作用,两者又是如何为社会交际服务的。
This paper makes an analysis of Obama＇s State of the Union Address in 2012 from the perspective of systematic functional grammar. It bases on Halliday＇s theory of meta-functions, integrating ideational function, interpersonal function and textual function to analyze the social communicative message of the address as well as the way the speaker tries to realize the goal by use of meta-functions. The analysis of the paper assures us the determination of Obama＇ s enhancement and safeguarding of the country. Such analysis from the perspective of systematic functional grammar can expose the effect of ideology on utterance, and vice versa, as well as how the two as a whole can contribute to the social communication.
