摘要 20世纪,全球高等教育经历了规模庞大的扩张,成为该时期高等教育经历的最为重要的变革之一。文章从功能主义、冲突主义、制度主义以及区域解释框架,系统梳理高等教育规模扩张的相关理论解释模型。在此基础之上,结合中国高等教育的发展历程,分析我国高等教育扩张机制和实现路径。指出中国高等教育扩张进程中存在着时间和成本的压缩性取向,高等教育需求顺应的滞后最终将导致中国高等教育质量危机的凸显。 The 20th century has seen tremendous expansion of higher education around the world.Enrollment Expansion has become one of the most important changes of higher education during the postwar period.Beginning with the systematical review the theoretical models of expansion in higher education and based on the different perspectives of functional theory,conflict theory,institutional theory and the（East Asian） regional explanation framework,this article analyzes the expansion process and mechanism of higher education in China and it pointed out that Chinese expansion mechanism of higher education has the tendency of the time compression and cost reduction,and it also discusses its impact on relevance and quality of higher education institutions.
