Performance Optimization of SQL Server Under VMware Virtualized Environment

摘要 在当前服务器虚拟化日益推广普及的背景下,为有效提高应用软件在虚拟化环境下的运行效率,提出了基于存储配置优化和内存管理优化的VMware服务器虚拟化环境下SQL Server数据库性能优化方法,给出了4个方面的性能优化对比测试.测试结果表明:该优化方法能在无需硬件设施投入的前提下提高5%~30%的性能. In view of server virtualization being widely spread to various data center and information management center, to enhance effectively the operating efficiency of application software under the virtualization environment, this paper proposes the optimization methods of SQL Server database performance under VMware server virtualized environment based on storage configuration optimization and memory management optimization, and gives the four aspects of back-to-back testing of performance optimization. Test results show that this proposed optimization method could improve the performance by 5% - 30% without need of installing any hardware facilities.
