The development trend of textiles in new century was reviewed. For fiber, various functional products were emerged; for man made fiber production, it was towards harmlessness process; for natural fiber, it focused on gene research; for fabric, blends of different yarn and different fiber are the main trend; for dyeing, printing and finishing, it tends to employ 'green' process.
