第三代移动通信将以高品质的服务、新业务和新功能的提供能力及高度的灵活性为通信注入新的活力。服务质量方面,话音质量、覆盖和成本将被放在首位,并满足不同业务的传输时延要求;同时在效率和容量方面满足不断增长的用户的需求。新业务和新功能方面,要满足对高带宽业务的需求,实现带宽的按需分配。而系统的灵活性则体现在其多功能性、多环境适应能力、多模式运行和多频带切换等。此外,与第二代系统的兼容性亦是必不可少的。
The third generation mobile will add new vitality to telecom with high-quality services, new service and function provisioning, and high flexibility.For QoS, priority will be given to the speech quality, coverage, and cost, and the transmission delay should be met for different services.Meanwhile, the growing demands of customers in efficiency and capacity will be satisfied.As far as new services and new functionality are concerned, the demands for high bandwidth services should be accomodated with the implementation of BOD.The system flexibility will embody its multi-functionality, diverse environment adapatability, and multi-bandwidth handoff.Furthermore, the backward compatability with the second-generation systems is also a must.
