This paper provides details on the algorithms implemented in the pulsar-timing software package, TEMPO2, and describes how the package is used. Information is given on how to download and install the software, use the various interfaces, simulate realistic data sets and develop the software. The use of TEMPO2 in predictive mode is also described.
