EFFECTS OF ENDURANCE EXERCISE ON METABOLISM OF ZINC AND COPPER

摘要 本文的研究提示运动员经历一次马拉松比赛及长期高强度冬季系统训练后可以导致血清锌、铜水平及尿锌、铜排出量的改变。大白鼠一次衰竭性游泳运动试验也证实,运动可以导致肝脏、肌肉中的锌、铜含量呈增加趋势。 The purpose of this study was to approach the effects of endurance exercise on metabolism ofzinc and copper. The main results were as follows: 1. Effects of once endurance exercise on metabolism of zinc and copper Eight male athletes were divided into two groups. One group was given ZnSO_4 (135.6 mg Zn/day)for five days before a marathon race, while the other only placebo Blood was drawn before (BR),immediately after (IAR), and 24 hr after (24 IAR) the race. The results showed that in control groupserum zinc decreased significantly from 155.7±35.7 ug/dl (BR) to 110.6±28.7 ug/dl (IAR) (P<0.01),and further to 87.6±9.7 ug/dl (24 IAR) (P<0.01), blood lactic acid level was significantly higher inIAR than that in BR and in 24 IAR. In the experimental group, however, serum zinc increased from117.6±11.6 ug/dl (BR) to 138.0±28.4 ug/dl (IAR) (P>0.05), and then decreased to 102.1±23.3 ug/dl (24 IAR) (P>0.05), there was no significant increase in lactic acid level There were also nosignificant changes of serum copper level or CP enzymatic activity after marathon race. In order to prove whether an endurance exercise will result in changes of zinc and copper contentof organs, we divided 24 ma?e SD rats into exercise and sedentary groups randomly Rats in exercisegroup swam to exhaustion and then were killed together with the rats in sedentary group. The resultsshowed that ?iver zinc and copper levels in exercised rats were significantly higher than those insedentary group (P<0.05), muscle zinc and copper levels tended to increase also (P>0.05), zinc andcopper levels of brain and heart remained unchanged. 2. Effects of a high-intensive winter training on zinc and copper metabolism. Subjects were 12 male long-distance runners whose venous blood and 24 hr urine specimens weretaken at the beginning, middle and end of the winter training period The results showed that serumcopper were 91.4±13.7 ug/dl, 82.1±13.0 ug/d: and 78.0±15.0 ug/dl respective?y in those threedifferent ?me; amount of urinary copper revealed in the same pattern, serum CP enzymatic activityincreased from 241±25 U to 288±47 U at the middle (P<0.01), and then decrease to 269±57 U at theend of training. Serum zinc increased from 95.3±10.3 ug/dl to 116.1±19.9 ug/dl at the middle (P<0.01), and then decreased to 107.0±10.3 ug/dl at the end of training; urinary zinc increased in thesame period. The above results suggested that exercise will cause certain changes in blood level, amount ofurinary excretion and organ's content of zinc and copper, and zinc supplementation possessed somebenefits for an endurance exercise. These results guide us to do further studies.
