摘要
本文对采自贵州省岩松鼠上的异缘甲胁虱标本进行了描述,并与其相近的属进行了比较。作者就异缘甲胁虱的分类问题进行了研究,认为建立一个新属容纳此种是恰当的,并命名为怪虱属Paradoxophthirus gen.nov.。
G. F. Ferris in 1951 remarked that Hoplopleura emarginata resembles more closely to the genus Neohaematopinus. In 1982 Kim & Adler recognized Johnson- pthirus Benoit, 1961 & Linognathoides Cummings, 1914, and redefined Neoha- ematopinus Mjoberg 1910. The writer has studied specimens from Guizhou and believes it is feasible to make a new genus for that species, and Paradoxophthirus gen. nov. is named. It is characterized by 1. Lack of posterior lateral angle & spine-like seta on segment 1 of antenna, 2. Male antennal segment 3 with one dark spine-like seta pointing inward, 3. Thoracic sternal plate with po- sterior median process, 4. Sternite 2 of abdomen extending laterally to arti- culate with paratergite, 5. Tergite 2 of male with terminal groups of targer setae, 6. Mate with 5 pairs of spiracles and female with 6, with, the 6th reduced or wanting. 6. Ventral surface of head & segment 1 of antenna of nymph with pointed tubercles, but lacking on coxae.
