摘要
通过对20世纪30年代美国大萧条背景下社会精神重建的考察,可以看出:现代经济危机及其之前的经济繁荣,都对社会精神和大众心灵稳定产生了冲击;宗教作为西方社会一种重要的文化传统资源,在美国经济危机和反危机的重要时刻,扮演了主动整合精神资源的角色;在一定意义上,危机也可以说是社会精神重建的一个契机。
Through the inspection of the spiritual renewal in the context of the Great Depression in 1930s,we can find： both the modern economic crisis and the economic prosperity could affect the social spirit and the peace of the public mind;religion as an kind of important cultural resource in Western Society played a role of integrating spiritual resources in American economic crisis and the anti-crisis;that is,the crisis could also be an opportunity for the renewal of social spirit.
