摘要
中国学人于２０世纪开始从事美学学科的研究与体系建构之时，其处境是十分特别的，一方面面临外来知识的本土化，必须在中国与西方这一充满紧张关系的两极之间做出抉择；另一方面又同时面临传统与现代（由于有了西方“他者”的维度与新视野、新观念的植入而有了新的内涵）之争的紧张关系，也必须做出抉择。因此，中国２０世纪美学是在传统与现代、中国与西方两组既构成内在矛盾又形成外在冲突的知识背景、张力作用下展开其美学思考与理论建构的。
The Chinese scholars on aesthetics put themselves in an awkwark situation when they set to establish the aesthetics of their own.On the one hand,with the internalization of western ideologies they had to take side between the tense pologies of China and west,on the other hand,they had to make their choice between traditions and modern thoughts,their aesthetic ideas were conceived and expanded in these conflicting contexts.
