摘要 目的 探讨中子辐照改色黄玉的总放射性水平及其变化规律。方法 采集刚进入市场 ,或正在加工的中子辐照改色黄玉制成品或坯料 ,测定其总α、总 β放射性比活度。 结果 中子辐照改色前后黄玉的总α放射性比活度无显著差异 ;而总 β放射性比活度差异显著 ,前后两者之间相差 4个数量级。 结论 中子辐照改色黄玉应属放射性物质 ,放射性半衰期为 87 72天 ,辐照改色后的黄玉制品至少应贮存 2~ 3年后使用 。 Objective To study the gross alpha and beta radioactivity and decay pattern of topaz colored by neutron radiation.Methods The topaz products or semifinished products, colored by neutron radiation were sampled and their gross alpha and beta radioactivity were determined. Results The gross alpha did not show significant difference between colored topaz and nature color topaz. However, the gross beta showed significant difference. The gross beta of colored topaz was shown to be higher than that of the nature color topaz at 4 orders of megnitude.Conclusion [WT5”,6BZ]The topaz colored by neutron radiation would be a kind of radioactive substance, and its radioactive half life would be 87.72 days. It might be safe enough for consumer to use it after being stored for at least 2 to 3 years.
