摘要
重点论述了因特网对传统图书馆馆藏微观构成和宏观构成的改变 ,以及因特网环境中图书馆馆藏文献功能的强化。文章指出在因特网环境中图书馆进行馆藏发展工作所需采取的策略。
This article explains the means through which information technologies have changed the types and structure of traditional library resources,and the new functions and services library resources assume.The author maintains that digital and virtual collections don’t and can’t replace traditional library resources. The future of library collections is a future of both print and electronic publications,both physical and electronic access.New strategies are introduced in this article to complement and enhance the library collection development.
